Furry Day Number FIVE: Pictures Galore

They say that pictures say a thousand words. There is really no other way to describe the gorgeous weather we enjoyed on the furry day of November 13 besides looking at it for yourself. The planning for this furry day was more tedious than usual because we had to coordinate the trip to the beach on one hand and the detox team that remained behind at the shelter on the other. We were also more careful about the number of volunteers we recruited so that each volunteer could be assigned a dog and enjoyment would be maximised. If you weren't able to join us this furry day, here are some pictures to show you how we spent our satisfying Saturday out and about at Pasir Ris park!

I don't know if it's me and my inherent bias, but as I browse through the pictures, each furkid seems to be smiling back at me, their eyes bright and their tongues lolling out. Most dogs love humans and that's a fact. As they evolved from wolves to dogs, these creatures were bred to believe that humans are the centre of their world. Furry day is so precious because it allows each furkid to be bask in the attention of their very own volunteer for one whole morning. It makes our dogs feel special.

Thank you all you volunteers for making Furry Day and Detox Day possible. Without your help, it would have been impossible to bring all our dogs out at once for us to disinfect the shelter thoroughly. Whether Furry Day lives to see another month depends very much on you guys. On behalf of the Furry Day Team, let me thank one and all who've helped in one way or another in making this Furry Day such a wonderful success. Here's to more happy furry days to come!

Picture credits go to those two who go scurrying around with cameras in hand each furry day, Jialing and Jiehao.
